As Samsung Galaxy S IVunveiling draws near, not much seems to be left to be revealed about the smartphone's hardware specifications. However, the look of the upcoming smartphone is yet to come into the public domain, despite alleged leaked images and renderings.
Now, leaked images of a smartphone that is said be Samsung Galaxy S IV have surfaced on a Chinese website 52Samsung. The images show a dual-sim device that goes by the name GT-I9502. This phone is meant for China Unicomtelecom network, according to the post.
On the front is the wide touchscreen, evidently bigger than that of Galaxy S III's. The bezel around the display features shiny mesh pattern; the secondary camera and a host of sensors are located on top. The photographs suggest that the upcoming Galaxy S IV retains the hardware home key, quashing rumours that said Samsung is using on-screen keys in this phone.
On the back is the LED flash, placed below the primary camera, along with the speaker grille that is located on the lower left corner. The microUSB port is at the bottom on the device.
The images show that the smartphone has a quad-core 1.8GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 1920x1080p display resolution and 13MP camera. As per the photos, the smartphone notched up a score of 26118 in the Antutu benchmark test, the highest ever by any device and much ahead of the results delivered by rivals like HTC Butterfly and Sony Xperia Z.
Coming to the software part, the images show that Galaxy S IV is powered by Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) with the Nature UX skin on top.
Previously, screenshots of Samsung Galaxy S IV were leaked online by a German website, apart from its hardware details that appeared in Antutu database. The smartphone is scheduled to be officially unveiled on March 14, 2013, at a press event in New York.
